Barak Obama Acceptance Speech, the Beginning of End of Foreclosure?

Wow!, here is why I’m excited for Obama’s leadership; he understands that the “American Dream” is in jeopardy.

In his words tonight we are living in a moment “a moment when our nation is at war, our economy is in turmoil, and the American promise has been threatened once more”. I didn’t live in North America all of my life; I spent my childhood traveling from one country to another. The one thing that makes us so different over here is our solid belief that, what we want, we will get, and there is nothing to stop us.  The “class” based social system is much more evident in most of the world.  Is it possible that Obama gets it!, and McCain doesn’t!

“It’s not because John McCain doesn’t care. It’s because John McCain doesn’t get it.”

Okay, what is “it” exactly? – details? – doesn’t he get?  How do you vigorously define the American dream?  Now that’s a big question, and hopefully it will be discussed thoroughly in the next while. Meanwile, I know a part of it.  Knowing that you have a safe home no matter how bad things get. Knowing that during your ups and lows, you will never be humiliated by dragging your stuff, and children from your home to an undetermined place, for an undetermined length of time. More people are losing their homes and Obama gets that.

“More of you have lost your homes and even more are watching your home values plummet.”

Some of us lost our homes quickly. Americans were called “a nation of whiners.”

john's McCain actually called america a nation of whinners
