Many who are trying their best to stop foreclosure and seeking numerous ways to overcome their circumstances.  You may be one of the ones who is asking can I stop foreclosure by starting a small business.  Yes you can.  But you will have to act very fast.

If you are are willing to do what a friend of mine named Judy did.  She was facing foreclosure and feeling very stuck.  How or where can she get the extra money she needed if her boss wouldn’t give her a pay raise?  Her family members were unable to help and she was at her wits end.  That is until she decided to launch a simple home-based business.

Judy did some calculating and figured out that she needed just an extra $500.00 per month in order to pay her bills and stay out of foreclosure.  In fact you would be surprised to know that most people would probably be able to avoid foreclosure if they could only make an extra $500.00 per month.

How can you do this.  Well let me tell you what Judy did in four easy steps

  1. She found something she was passionate about:  She loved to play the piano and knew how to teach piano lessons
  2. She prepared to help others get what they want through service. She advertised in her neighborhood stores and her church that she was willing to give piano lessons.  She told everybody she knew.
  3. She attracted clients or customers who needed her service.  She found just five students the first week and during the second week she found another five for a total of ten.  Each of the ten students agreed to pay $25.00 per lesson.  A total of $250.00 per week or $1000.00 per month.
  4. She then advertised in local churches, wedding services and funeral homes that she  could play for.  In a short while she found a church that agree to pay her $100.00 every Sunday morning just to provide music for the congregation.

Okay I know you are thinking “I don’t play the piano so how can I use this method to stop my foreclosure?”  Well even if you don’t play the piano the truth is there is most likely something you can do.  We don’t often thing of monetizing simple tasks that we do every day.

Can you start thinking of something that you do well? Brainstorm with friends.  Now dream about packaging your talent, skill or passion into a service or product that is easily deliverable.
